FIRST LADY OLUREMI TINUBU RENEWS CALL FOR UNITY IN THE BODY OF CHRIST

First Lady of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu has renewed the call for stronger unity among the body of Christ saying love is the foundation of the faith.
She stated this at the 50th Anniversary celebration, awards and thanksgiving service of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu, while commending the commitment and dedication of the leadership and members of the Association in propagating the gospel and keeping the faith urged them not to be unmindful of the need for greater unity and oneness as recommended by Jesus Christ in the Bible.
“The theme “Walking Together in Faith” resonates with the prayer of our Lord Jesus Christ in John17: 21-22 “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou has sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them: that they may be one, even as we are one”. “.
“I pray as Christ has prayed over the saints that all the Christian Blocs that make up CAN will continue to be one in Jesus name. I wish you many more fruitful years of service in the Lords Vineyard”.
The First Lady who was conferred with the Award of Excellence thanked the CAN and assured that it will only spur her to work more for God and humanity.
“I want you to know that this award is called to greater work in service to God and humanity”.
In his remarks, the President of the Association, Archbishop Daniel Okoh noted that after achieving a milestone of 50 years, an era marked with breaking down walls of division in the body of Christ, the Christian Association of Nigeria is further repositioning itself for nation building and as a prophetic voice of hope, in critical collaboration with government.
Prayers were offered for the nation and the Christian body as a whole.
