Representing the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the Wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima, attended the 44th Northern Derby (Zaria 2026).

She paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Zazzau, HRM Ahmed Nuhu Bamali, where she received a horse presented to the First Lady on her behalf. She also witnessed the thrilling horse races and joined the Wife of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hajia Fatima Tajudeen Abbas, and the Wife of the Kaduna State Governor, Hajia Hafsat Uba Sani, in presenting trophies to outstanding winners.
